Beverly Gillen, President
 
 
Beverly Gillen, president of Connected for College, partners with corporate clients to help them attract and retain top talent by offering an innovative employee benefit called Get Connected for College.  She also works with private clients to ensure their students are prepared for post secondary success.  Prior to founding Connected for College, Beverly worked for corporate America as a global electronics commodity manager.  She created Emerson’s first engineering group in the Philippines and has managed suppliers all over the world including Thailand, China, and Europe.  She developed the organization’s youth mentoring initiative and received the Appreciation Award for her contributions to the company’s Diversity Council.  Beverly has 25 years of experience in international business and youth development.
 
Ms. Gillen received a Bachelor of Science in Business degree from the Carlson School of Management and a parent education license from the State of Minnesota.  She is a member of the Minnesota Association for College Admission Counseling (MACAC).  Beverly volunteers as a Girl Scout advisor and serves on the board of directors for West Suburban Teen Clinic. 
 
Whitney Frisch, Business Advisor
 
 
Whitney Frisch is an Admissions Representative for the International School of Minnesota and has 20 years of experience working with families.  She has a Master of Science degree in curriculum and instruction from Minnesota State University and a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Wisconsin.  She has completed graduate coursework in parent education and is certified to administer  the Gesell Developmental Observation for children.
 
Student Advisory Board
 

Connected for College maintains a student advisory board which is designed to provide youth with leadership experience.  Our students provide valuable feedback and help us stay connected to teen culture.  In return, they have the opportunity to learn about business and the world of college admissions by:

¨      Writing articles for our blog

¨      Evaluating new content

¨      Providing graphic design assistance

¨      Representing Connected for College at various local events
